A new quarterback didn’t help Buffalo’s offense much this week, as Kyle Orton and the Bills managed just 16 points offensive points. The Lions’ defensive line was dominant in this game, sacking Orton five times and holding C.J. Spiller to just 2.3 yards per carry.
For the Lions, this game should have been an easier win. They were able to move the ball well, and didn’t turn the ball over. The simply could not turn those yards into points. A blocked field goal and two failed fourth-down conversions certainly didn’t help. The pick-6 that provided six points for Buffalo didn’t help much either.
