The Bengals were statistically the better team in this game, but lost because they unable to turn their scoring chances into touchdowns. Five trips into the red zone generated just 12 points (four field goals and a fumble).
New England struggled to move the football for most of this game, but put together the key drives when they needed them in order to pull out the win. Tom Brady didn’t play well (52 percent completion percentage, 178 yards, 1 interception), but he was able to get the Patriots into the end zone when the chances were there.
