This was a tale of two halves for these two teams. The Chargers could do nothing to stop Geno Smith and Jets in the first half, as New York was able to put together four long touchdown drives before halftime.
The second half was dominated Chargers on both sides of the football. The Jets crossed midfield only once in the entire half, while the Chargers were able to move the football with relative ease.
Ultimately, this game was decided by a Phillip Rivers interception in the end zone early in the fourth quarter and a missed field goal on San Diego’s next drive. If the Chargers can able to convert on those two scoring chances, then they might have been able to complete the comeback.
