This game played out as a game of runs. Tampa Bay jumped out to a 14-0 lead, only to have Pittsburgh score 20 unanswered points to take the lead. Then it was Tampa’s turn again, with 10 fourth-quarter point to recapture the lead, only to have Pittsburgh score a late touchdown to steal the victory.
The Buccaneers played well despite the loss. They put up 135 yards rushing, and quarterback Josh McCown completed 65% of his passes with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Unfortunately for Tampa, Pittsburgh’s rushing attack was even better. Running back Le’Veon Bell had 154 yards, as the Steelers’ rushing attack managed 211 yards on the ground.
