This game was much closer than the final score suggests. The Ravens had the lead heading into the fourth quarter, and actually had the ball when down by just two points with under four minutes to play.
Unfortunately, things fell apart quickly from that point. Joe Flacco’s third interception of the game led to Carolina touchdown and two-point conversion. Then, down by 10 points, Flacco threw his fourth interception of the game on the ensuing drive’s first play. That pick was taken to the house for defensive score for the Panthers.
Cam Newton and the Panther offense wasn’t flashy in this game. Carolina’s 171 passing yards, 182 rushing yards, and, most importantly, no turnovers, were enough to seal the win for the Panthers.
