Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill out-dueled Buffalo’s E.J. Manuel in a game in which no team ever led by more than a touchdown. Tannehill completed 67 percent of his passes for 291 yards and did not turn the ball over.
Buffalo was able to move the ball well on the ground throughout the game, compiling 140 rushing yards and averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Unfortunately, the passing game was much less successful. Manuel completed just 18 passes in this game for 141 yards through the air.
With 1:04 left in the game Buffalo had the ball at the Miami 16-yard line, but a strip-sack of Manuel by linebacker Daniel Ellerbe was recovered by Miami to end the threat.
