For three quarters, this game looked like to was going to end as a blowout. The Bears opened up at 17-0 lead by the middle of the second quarter, and took a 20-3 lead into the final period.
At that point, the 49ers came roaring back to tie the game. San Francisco Colin Kaepernick, who had just 76 yards passing enter the fourth quarter, threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns in game’s final 15 minutes to help force overtime.
This game was also close to ending in a tie, as both teams struggled to move the football in the extra period. With just 1:46 left in overtime, Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler hit Brandon Marshall for a 58-yard touchdown give Chicago the victory.
