New Nintendo 3DS Comes With An Internet Filter
Kotaku just reported that the New Nintendo 3DS will come with an internet filter built into its browser. This new Nintendo 3DS model was announced this morning during Nintendo Direct.
The filter is meant to stop children from accessing “harmful” websites. It can be removed by registering a valid credit card and paying a fee of 30 yen, or about 29 cents. This is to prevent children from disabling the filter without their parents’ permission or knowledge.
This seems to be a response to past instances of children sharing inappropriate content via 3DS.
