Just like when previous lists called upon a fullback/wide receiver, Jerod Mayo is capable of lining up on the outside, in addition to his primary middle linebacker position. However, while still an elite player, he’s certainly a Jack-Of-All-Trades type of player, while not explicitly tops in any stat. He’s eighth in both Speed (87) and Zone Coverage (81), but is well regarded for his tackling ability. He’s a capable defender, but even if he does falter it’s not like the Patriots have slouches at QB, WR, TE and RB, either.
