Transformers: Age Of Extinction Blasts Its Way Onto iOS Devices

What do Autobots, Decepticons and Mark Wahlberg all have in common? They’re all featured in Transformers: Age of Extinction, which is bringing its special brand of Michael Bay goodness to movie theaters on June 27. Before that happens, DeNA wants to give you a taste of exactly how big the threat is this time out with the official mobile game, which is now live in the iOS App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Players will have to master both robot and vehicle modes to make it through the game’s missions, because they really wouldn’t be Transformers if they were stuck in one form. It looks like there will be plenty of upgradeable weapons, a host of bots to choose from, and also Dinobots, which are in a class of cool all by themselves — except when Grimlock decides he wants to be king, that’s not as cool.

Could there be some spoilers for the movie? Perhaps, but it’s more likely that the mobile game will simply whet your appetite for seeing the battles on the big screen.

“Transformers: Age of Extinction – The Official Mobile Game is a fantastic game not just for people who enjoy action-packed mobile games but also for Transformers fans everywhere,” Mark Blecher, Hasbro senior vice president digital gaming & corporate development, said in a press release. “Defeating your enemies with Grimlock is a defining moment for any true Transformers fan.”
