It was rumored via banner art, but it was confirmed during Microsoft’s media briefing, of all places. Assassin’s Creed Unity will feature 4-player co-op, at least in an online capacity, with footage shown on the Xbox One during the Xbox: Game On briefing.

We saw a mission take place in 1789, in which you and three players assassinate a French noble at the eve of the French revolution. Several fops and dandies were shown with their heads on spikes, as class warfare has made its way to Ubisoft’s games. Joking, of course.

Either way, we got to see colorful assassins take part of a very key part of the post-enlightenment history of France, so hopefully the attention to details will remain as Assassin’s Creed Unity is released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this year.
