Morning DLC: Video Games News And Rumors 6/2/14

"Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick made it pretty clear that we can expect another title in the Red Dead franchise last week. Speaking during Cowen and Company’s 42nd Annual Technology, Media & Telecom Conference, Zelnick name checked the Red Dead series as a ‘permanent’ franchise like Grand Theft Auto and Borderlands while he explained Take-Two’s approach to games releases:“I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It’s obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality. It seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise – again with the same caveat – or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others. But not everything is going to be a permanent franchise.”"

"The tenth Mortal Kombat game is due to be announced today, according to series co-creator Ed Boon.Today’s likely reveal is the final part of a series of Mortal Kombat 10 teases by Boon, which he’s been posting on Twitter for the past several weeks.Early in May he initiated a mysterious countdown, stating that an unspecified announcement would be made in 29 days."

"Love it or hate it, DLC is here to stay. With pre-orders being a vital measure for the industry you can expect more and more DLC being offered as pre-order incentives. And the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is being set in France during the French Revolution is no different. A Gamestop somewhere in America has put up a pre-order poster a little bit early and it is now hit the Internet thanks to CriptAssassini. As you can see the pre-order DLC is called Chemical Revolution and features a scientist holding a bubbling beaker. We can also see it is the second pre-order offer but unfortunately we don’t get to see what the first one is."
