Disney, Harmonix Show Off The Capsule In Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved

While not every Xbox One is going to have a Kinect attached to it beginning in June, some games are still being made that will require that particular piece of technology, and chief among those is Disney Interactive and Harmonix Music Systems’ Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved. Today the two companies revealed a bit more about the game’s third realm, which is called “The Capsule.”

The story behind The Capsule follows an astronaut monkey who finds himself (or herself, as it’s not entirely clear) stranded aboard a deactivated space station. Players can help the wayward space traveler bring the station to life by interacting with two songs, and both are pretty fitting: “Rocket Man” by Elton John and “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel.

A new trailer, which you can see below, shows how The Capsule provides an interesting change from the game’s first two realms, which are both forest environments. Expect to see more unveiled before the planned release this fall.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved is headed for Xbox One (again, for units that include a Kinect) and Kinect for Xbox 360, and will feature over 30 tracks from genres including contemporary pop, classic rock and classical music as it presents a whole new way for players to combine music and visuals.
