Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile Gets Upgrades, PC Version Still Coming
By Nick Tylwalk
When Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 was first announced as a mobile title, not everyone was doing backflips about it. That reaction was understandable given the fact that its much-loved predecessors were PC games, and some PC-to-mobile transitions in recent months haven’t gone over so well.
Despite that, there are two good pieces of news: one is that the mobile game went through some changes in its most recent update that should be welcomes ones, and the other is that the PC version is still being worked on. Currently slated for a release during this coming winter, the developers have said that a website and forums will be launched soon to solicit feedback from fans of the series.
Speaking of feedback, suggestions from the Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile community helped shape the most recent set of updates which includes shorter times for construction and building timers and reduced prices for coins and tickets. Additional features like a flyover plane to promote your park and attractions such as a Flying Jumbo Ride and a Gold Rush Mine will also be popping up soon.
Last but not least, Android users should be on the lookout for Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile in the Google Play store in early summer — or right about the time you’d be setting out to ride real life roller coasters.
While the mobile game still might not be your cup of tea, you can find out for yourself by downloading the game (currently $2.99) on the iOS App Store.
