4. Gran Turismo 5

You’ve got to like any game that was so anticipated that people bought what was basically a glorified beta version of the eventual release (that’d be Gran Turismo 5 Prologue). GT5 sticks in my mind as a title that made racing so realistic that it got frustrating if you didn’t adjust the difficulty a bit.

One thing I didn’t like: Jeff Gordon was involved. I’m going to try not to influence who my kids root for in different sports, but one thing they already know in the Tylwalk household is that we don’t root for the number 24. Like ever.
