Pre-Launch Campaign Underway For Konami’s PES Manager

If you fancy yourself more Jose Mourinho than David Moyes and wanted to prove it on your mobile device, the Football Manager Handheld series has been an excellent choice for several years. It’s about to get some global competition later this year though, and Konami is already starting to get soccer (sorry, it’s not football here in the US) fans fired up for its upcoming PES Manager.

While it doesn’t appear to be a hardcore sim like the Football Manager games, PES Manager is a full-on mobile soccer title based on the best-selling World Soccer Collection S game released in Japan. It revolves around badges featuring over 1,500 players from some of the top real life leagues, and during the game’s pre-launch campaign, players have a chance to grab a good one for free.

By visiting this site, people can take a shot at a shootout challenge that unlocks a badge. Once the badge is revealed, it can be kept or returned to try for a better one. Everyone gets three attempts per day, and can earn up to nine more tries by sharing the campaign details using Facebook, Twitter or LINE. Anyone can keep on trying the challenge until PES Manager launches, and since that date has yet to be announced, you might as well keep shooting for Cristiano Ronaldo.

So what can we expect from the game itself? Here are the details Konami has shared so far:

Multiple game modes – Player badges can be earned in stage, cup or league matches.

3D match presentation – Matches will play out with actual 3D graphics, with players having the ability to change tactics or make substitutions on the fly.

Real pictures and skills – The extensive player roster includes the likes of the aforementioned Ronaldo, Neymar and Giovani dos Santos with their real pictures. Stars will have special skills that can be activated at specific times to alter the course of a match.

PES Manager is slated for release in English in 55 countries for both iOS and Android.
