Dragon Age: Inquisition Gameplay Trailer Reveals Release Date
It’s been a long time since BioWare has created a universally-appreciated RPG. You’d have to date back to the creation of Dragon Age: Origins, where the series started back in 2009. Now it appears as though the developers are striking back leading into the new generation of consoles, as a new gameplay trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition has just been released, and boy, does it ever look impressive.
The trailer shows off enigmatic settings, colorful spells and gigantic monstrosities that stand in the way of the Inquisition. The goal of Dragon Age: Inquisition is to stop the Breach, a worldwide phenomenon that threatens to swallow the world whole. Commanding the Inquisition, players will act to serve justice to those that created this villainous act through whatever means deemed fit.
What I find most fascinating is the evident appeal to creating a more open world game. My only concern is that the newest Dragon Age doesn’t try to become what Skyrim was to the RPG genre. BioWare needs a win here, and by staying to its roots I believe the series can be saved once again.
As revealed in the trailer, Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released on October 7th, and is coming to the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
