Warframe Celebrates 1st Anniversary With Special Gift For PS4 Players

I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: the best thing about video games celebrating birthdays is that the players are the ones who get the gifts.

That’s as true for Warframe as it has been for many games in the past. The free-to-play co-op shooter is recognizing its first anniversary (dated from the time it went into open beta, not the November PS4 full release, obviously!) with a special gift for PS4 players. It’s a special edition of the DEX FURIS, complete with a Lotus-themed skin, high fire-rate and accuracy, low recoil, a weapon slot and a catalyst. And if you understand every part of that last sentence, you’ve played a lot more Warframe than I have.

Jokes aside, it’s a nice gift for the players who have supported the game from the beginning. People can also purchase the Excalibur Proto-Armor via the in-game store, which is a limited time-only skin that is available now through 2 pm EDT on April 21. Coincidentally, that’s the same time the gift weapon will go away if you don’t log in before then.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering why PC players aren’t included in the birthday offer, there’s a good reason for that: they already got the gift back in late March. See? Presents for everyone!
