New Mode Coming To NES Remix 2
Nintendo, on Thursday, has revealed a brand new mode coming to it’s upcoming release of NES Remix 2.
Championship Mode, which is inspired by the 1990 Nintendo World Championship event, will challenge players to “achieve the highest score in three specific games using a multiplier-based scoring system.” The mode will see an update in the three games used for scoring as well as a revised scoring multiplier.
The games that will be used in NES Remix 2 are Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Dr. Mario. Players will be required to “take on a series of three successive score-based challenges in these games to achieve a cumulative total score.”
The original NES Remix will be required to participate in Championship Mode in NES Remix 2.
NES Remix 2 launches via the Nintendo eShop on Wii U on April 25.
