Smash Bros Nintendo Direct: Master Balls Reveal Unique Pokemon

During today’s Smash Bros Nintendo Direct, game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed a new item called the Master Ball. Based on the Pokemon universe, only rare Pokemon will come out of the item, as opposed to the Poke ball.

Some unique Pokemon include Arceus, Meowth, Electrode, Eevee, Staryu, Metagross, Fennekin, Meloetta, Gogoat, Entei, Deoxys, Palkia, Kyurem, Victini, Keldeo and Xerneas. As someone who played through only the first two or three generations of Pokemon games, there seems to be a good mix between the generations of Pokemon for players old and new. If there will be any more fully playable Pokemon in the upcoming Super Smash Bros has yet to be seen.
