Minecraft on Xbox 360 Sales Reach 12 Million

Minecraft has sold over 12 million units on Xbox 360, Microsoft and Mojang announced on Friday.

Released in May 2012, the Xbox 360 version of the popular sandbox game took just under two years to reach the 12 million mark in sales, becoming one of the most successful Xbox 360 games of all time. The game has seen countless updates, skin packs and texture packs that have helped give it even more replay value. Minecraft on Xbox 360 will see a candy texture pack released on April 18.

There is no word on when a version for Xbox One could be coming, but when it does it’s likely to see the same success that the game has seen everywhere else.
