External Storage Coming Soon To Xbox One

facebooktwitterreddit

Currently, the Xbox One only allows users to use its 500gb internal hard drive for storage, but that restriction may be changing soon.

According to Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb, director of programming at Microsoft, external game storage is coming soon to the console. Hyrb posted the information on the Xbox One subreddit. He also stated that he had to check on future media support.

The information from Hyrb, though good to hear, is extremely vague in terms of what “coming soon” actually means. Will it be in April? Later in 2014? 2015? In addition to no timetable, no details regarding storage cap was given. The Xbox 360 had a cap of 32gb.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
