Less than a month after releasing aphysical remotefor the Xbox One, Microsoft is already working to make its SmartGlass app work as a universal remote.
According to a report fromThe Verge, Microsoft is working on a new version of the SmartGlass app that will integrate Microsoft’s OneGuide functionality into the app as well as the ability to control the set-top box and TV with its DVR function directly from a smartphone and/or tablet.
The new app will also reportedly show users recently watched channels to make for easy changing.
The updates are expected to see a fully-featured launch later this year.
