BioShock Infinite DLC Promo Helps Outgoing Irrational Games Team Find Work

With Irrational Games now winding down while Ken Levine works on a new project with a much smaller group, it leaves the studio’s staff seeking employment elsewhere. While executives will be dealing with severance packages and holding meet-and-greets with other video game companies within the industry, the promotional and marketing team behind BioShock Infinite have taken it to a whole new level.

The Irrational Games Youtube channel has released a new video, talking to development team members as they discuss their proudest moments creating BioShock Infinite DLC: Burial at Sea Part 2. What makes the video worthwhile to prospective employers is that the video includes both text links to each person’s professional website or portfolio, as well as clickable annotation links that take you directly to them through your web browser. Its sole purpose is to help these people find a new job.

Although many people will be displaced due to the change in direction at the studio, it sure is a heartwarming and, ultimately, classy act. They didn’t need to do this, but somehow the higher ups found a way to market their staff as they find new places to both create and innovate.

Even if you are not a fan of the direction of the BioShock Infinite Burial at Sea storyline, and especially if you are someone who can hire a deserving staffer, you should check out this promotional video just to see how much love and effort the developers put into this game.
