With reports of Direct X 12 coming to the Xbox One later this year circulating, there is a lot of talk that the new API could increase the system’s resolution for games. Microsoft has yet to directly comment on this rumor in the form of a confirmation or denial, but one member of the Xbox team has commented.
In a response to a fan-posed question on Twitter, Microsot Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer addressed the Direct X 12 rumors with a simpleresponse.
“Stay tuned for GDC,” he told the fan.
What exactly fans should tune into GDC (Game Developers Conference) is unknown, but one has to assume that it will be a confirmation, at least, that Direct X 12 is coming to the Xbox One. Microsoft will unveil Direct X 12 on March 20 at 10am.
