Titanfall Cancelled In South Africa

facebooktwitterreddit

Bad news for gamers in South Africa hoping to get their hands on Titanfall when it launches on March 11, the game has been canned in the country. After local network server tests turned up “unsatisfactory”, all Titanfall pre-orders in South Africa have been cancelled.

The news was first broken thanks to a screenshot posted by MP1st which showed the message from Origin.

The poor performance of the multiplayer servers South Africa isn’t surprising due to the fact that the Azure Cloud Servers do not work in the country. Azure is how Titanfall will run in terms of Multiplayer. The announcement of the cancellation isn’t necessarily a forever cancellation, but fans in South Africa shouldn’t expect to see the game released there anytime soon. Gamesided will keep you updated as this story develops. Hopefully good news comes sooner rather than later.
