DriveClub Release Date Leaked

A user on PSNation.net has spotted what appears to be an accidental reveal of the release date for DriveClub. Browsing Twitter on Monday, the user by the name of 100mph saw that there was a new tweet from the official DriveClub Twitter account which read “Mark your Calendars 9.4.14”.

"I was checking on Driveclubs twitter feed just 20minutes ago, and when I checked back on it it said 1 new Tweet, so I clicked on it. When I did this showed up, I screen capped it then frantically went to google to find if it had been announced anywhere else. When I got back the tweet wasn’t there."

While this very well could have been an accidental reveal on the part of whomever posted the tweet, the date of September 4 is a confusing one which could lead many to believe that that isn’t the correct date at all. The main reason being is that September 4 is a Thursday. Games in North America are usually released on Tuesdays or Fridays. Of course, they could be going with the model that the day comes before the month, thus making the leaked date April 9. With the 9th being on a Wednesday, it’s quite possible that the given date could be the international release date. Obviously, that’s just speculation on our end. When more information is known, including a confirmation of an official release date, Gamesided will fill you in.
