Steam Family Sharing Now Available To All
After seeing the success of the program during its beta stage, Valve has made Steam Family Sharing available to all users, effective immediately. Using Family Sharing in Steam is a simple task, but will take a couple of steps to get off the ground.
In order to use Family sharing, you must log into the computer that you intend to share game’s with and authorize the library. After you’ve successfully authorized the other machines, users can access your games as long as you aren’t currently playing. Should the original user want access to his/her library, the guest will have a short period of time to finish up before being kicked.
A word to the wise: though you may not be using your games, the primary account holder is responsible for any fraud and/or cheating done by the guest while using your library. So, be prepared.
