Mass Effect Games Coming To PS4 And Xbox One?

facebooktwitterreddit

And the answer is … maybe. According to ComputerAndVideogames.com and various other websites, Ubisoft has at least talked about bringing the Mass Effect Trilogy bundle to current gen consoles. The source is Aaryn Flynn, GM for both BioWare Montreal and BioWare Edmonton, so that’s about as good as it gets.

Of course a Mass Effect 4 is in the works, supposedly with a lot completely divorced from the first three games, but it has no release date yet. Releasing Mass Effect Trilogy on PS4 and Xbox One would be a good way to whet players’ appetites for the franchise until the new installment is ready, reminding them of why they loved the games in the first place while showing off some graphical upgrades.

And hey, maybe they can re-do the ending of Mass Effect 3! To channel some old school Nelly, I’m just kidding about that — unless BioWare actualy does it.

Even for those people who had no problem with the way the original trilogy wrapped up, perhaps fatigue has set in after playing the heck out of those three games on the last-gen consoles. Would you “be keen” on remastered versions for PS4 and Xbox One or prefer that BioWare employees simply devote every waking moment to making Mass Effect 4 all it can possibly be? Sound off in the comment section below.
