Next-Gen Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Titles To Get Price Cut
For those concerned with the high price of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in conjunction with its short play time, some of those worries may have been reduced today. According to a press release, Konami has lowered the price of the PS4 and Xbox One versions down to $30 for physical retail copies and digital downloads. Now they are on par in pricing with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions physical versions, while still above their $19.99 digital download price.
It does make a little bit better to reduce their maximum price by nearly 25% before the game even comes out. It means that the Ground Zeroes production team are paying attention to what the market is telling them, especially after players at Game Informer were able to breeze through the main mission in their short time over in Japan. When you consider just how far the second half of Metal Gear Solid V, Phantom Pain, is from competition, you have to wonder just how neccessary the success of Ground Zeroes is to the series’ further development.
Ground Zeroes will be released on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 March 18th here in North America.
