The challenge editor planned for inclusion withRyse: Son of Romethat was expected to come to SmartGlass won’t be coming at all. According to Polygon, Microsoft has informed them that planned addition for the game’s co-op gladiator mode will no longer be developed.
“After careful consideration, we have decided to cease development onRyse: Son of Romechallenge editor and focus on improving and expanding fans’ experience with the game through both free content updates and purchased add-on packs,” thestatement read. “We look forward to sharing more details soon.”
Rysehas seenmediocrereview scoressince it’s release alongside the Xbox One which isapparentlypart of the reason for the add-on’s scrapping.
Mike’s Musings:It’s not really all that surprising to find that the add-on has been scrapped. There has been no mention of the feature since the game launched, and no one has really been asking any questions about it. Might as well cut the losses of something that likely wouldn’t have been utilized by many.
