REPORT: Xbox One Remote Coming In March
A remote control is coming for the Xbox One in March reports The Verge.
The Xbox One remote, which briefly was listed on Amazon last week, will reportedly be unveiled tomorrow (February 20) and will launch on March 4. It will feature the ability to control control media apps, it will also work as an infrared remote to control TV or AV receiver volume. The channel up and down feature of the remote will only work in the US, the report states.
Official pricing is not known, but it is expected to be announced tomorrow.
Mike’s Musings: If this doesn’t signal that Microsoft views the Xbox One more as a home theater system than a game console, I don’t know what else will. I’m not a fan of a remote control for a game console when you already have a controller for the device. But, that’s just me.
