No. 3 — Quake

This series is here for two reasons: nostalgia and enjoyment.

The Quake series was my entry into the shooter genre as a child, and my love for the series only grew with each game. No game in the series, however, gave me as much excitement as Quake III: Arena did. From the time it came out in 2000 until the time I graduated high school (a span of eight years), Quake III: Arena was the shooter for me. Spending hours at home, and in school, playing that game was likely the reason why my grades were never that great growing up. It was well worth it though.
