Nintendo Direct: New Bayonetta 2 Trailer, Still No Release Date

To finish off the first Nintendo Direct of 2014, Nintendo has released a new trailer for Bayonetta 2, showcasing the story and gameplay for the Wii U exclusive.

The star of the cult-followed character action game is back, and this time she is not alone. Searching for entry into the gates of hell, Bayonetta must employ the help of a mysterious young lad, another of the Purgatorio realm. She is well equipped to the task, as she sports 4 guns on her legs and arms and can employ her witch powers to destroy countless enemies, big or small.

In Bayonetta 2, our heroine uses all of her abilities to string combos together, but can also generate enough energy to utilize an “Umbran Climax,” a massive attack that can destroy multiple foes at once. As per usual, expect a lot of frantic action with over-the-top cinematics in the newest installment.

Bayonetta 2 will be exclusively released on the Nintendo Wii U later this year. Check out the new trailer below.
