Nintendo Direct: NES Remix 2 Announced For April 25

facebooktwitterreddit

The pleasant surprise of adapted NES-era challenges that came with NES Remix will see a new adaptation. NES Remix 2 has been announced by Nintendo, and will see the inclusion of a bunch of games beyond the early stages of the Nintendo Entertainment System’s lifetime.

NES Remix 2’s game focus remains on completing wacky challenges of classic games with re-imagined aspects, including characters outside its game. For example, don’t be surprised if you see Link going through Super Mario Bros stages using his equipment in a way unlike Mario and Luigi would.

Some of these later-in-life NES games include Kirby’s Adventure, Super Mario Bros. 3., Dr. Mario and Punch-Out!!, to say the least. As a huge bonus included, you can play the entirety of Super Mario Bros, but backwards…as Luigi! That’s right, Super Luigi Bros will mirror the original game by having Luigi go from right to left. That’s just the type of crazy antics you can expect in the game.

NES Remix 2 will be headed towards the Wii U eShop on April 25. Keep it here at GameSided as we recap the rest of the events from the February 13th Nintendo Direct.
