Minecraft PC Sales Reach 14 Million

The legend that is known as Minecraft continues to grow in ways many could have only dreamed of when the game first launched in alpha nearly four years ago. The original PC version of the game has surpassed 14-million copies sold worldwide.

The 14 million PC copies sold brings the total game sales well over 30 million copies based on previously released sales numbers from the company. Minecraft has seen releases on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and mobile devices in the form of Minecraft: Pocket Edition. Developer Mojang also has versions of the game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the works which will only increase the total sales as many who already own the game for other platforms will likely want to get in on the “next-gen” version of the game though it’s not likely to differ from the current versions in any way.
