Nintendo Bringing DS to Wii U

facebooktwitterreddit

After clearing some technical hurdles, Nintendo is ready, able and willing to bring DS titles to the Wii U via a new virtual console. The news comes from Wednesday night’s investor briefing by company President Satoru Iwata that brought about other news regarding the company’s future.

The image used to showcase DS on Wii U was a capture of Brain Age, both the top and bottom screen, appearing side-by-side on the Wii U Gamepad.

There aren’t many other details known about the DS Virtual Console at this time, but hopefully this means that playing Pokemon on the big screen, though it will still be DS quality, is only a matter of time.
