1. Half-Life 2

Virtually all properties Valve has touched has turned to gold. Some wonder if the Steam Machines and SteamOS will take off, but there will be an interest if there’s even a shred as much intrigue and respect for those devices as there is for Half-Life 2. Outside of the improved graphics with the Source engine, not much is new in Half-Life 2 when it comes to gameplay mechanics. However, it is the fully-developed cast, exciting variety of enemies and excellent story that places this game upon the higher echelons of the entire industry.

Now just release Episode 3, for crying out loud! It’s been a damn decade, throw us a bone!
