Top 40 Games From 2004
2. World of Warcraft
MMORPG’s aspire to have an ounce of the same respect, praise and financial success as World of Warcraft. It is perhaps the only game to be as insanely hyped up as it was and live up to expectations. The Warcraft series was already a powerhouse in the RTS world; WoW sought to be exponentially better. With a 40 man raid system, impressive dungeons that required meticulous thought and planning with races and classes of Warcraft lore, vanilla World of Warcraft proved to be one of the most important video games of our time. Roughly 7 million people still have an active subscription for a game that is 9 years old. That is redonkulous.
