17. Pikmin 2

If you haven’t gotten the idea that 2004 was so stacked with games, Pikmin 2 coming in as my 17th favorite game from that year a decade later should indicate it. Several changes were welcome in the sequel, including removing the 30-day time limit and adding more Pikmin types to play. For a Gamecube game, Pikmin 2 was a technical workhorse, staying at a near perfect framerate despite the amount of animated models. Continued to bring a unique perspective to the RTS genre.
