Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition Is Headed To PC

One of my favorite games from the Gamecube/PS2 era, Resident Evil 4, is making its way in HD to the PC on February 28th, Capcom has revealed today in a trailer. Available for $20, the game will be at 60 frames per second for the first time ever and will be available as a digital download for Steam worldwide, with pre-orders giving you access to over 60 music tracks and a digital art book (link available at time of Steam daily update). European countries will see a physical release.

This is not the first time Resident Evil 4 has been ported to PC. Back in 2007 it saw a release, but was not in HD. Currently, the only way to play the HD version of Resident Evil is to pick it up on the Xbox Live Store or on the PlayStation Network as digital downloads.

Just like its other updated iterations, expect as much previously-released bonus content available in Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition. That includes things like the “Seperate Ways” missions, extra weapons and bonus costumes.

UPDATE: Here are the system requirements for the game:

Minimum System Requirements:

OS: Windows XP/ Vista®, Windows 7, Windows 8
