Titanfall AI Won’t Get Smarter Over Time
From the category of “that would be a cool idea”, a twitter user recently posed a question to Respawn about the A.I. in the upcoming release of Titanfall, and how the cloud-based power will work with the game. To be more specific, the user asked if the inclusion of cloud-based data in the game will allow the A.I to be tweaked and become smarter during the game as was originally anticipated for the game.
In a simply response to a rather unique question, Abbie Heppe, the Community Manager for Respawn, replied with, “I don’t think that is how it works”.
The question likely stems from fans getting a glimpse at the A.I inside the Alpha version of the game which led to a negative reaction of the bots’ intelligence and performance, and the fact that you can’t change the difficulty of the A.I.
With the game still in an Alpha state, it’s almost certain that the A.I will get tweaked between now and its release to the public which will hopefully cool down any talk of the game’s bots.
