No Update To Disable Dualshock 4 Light Bar Coming
One of the biggest complaints about the DualShock 4 is the length of a full battery charge. One reason for the low lifespan for a charge can be attributed to the light bar that is always on on the controller.
In order to save battery, many have suggested an update to the firmware that will all the light bar to be disabled for games that don’t call for the sensor to be used. Unfortunately, an update like that doesn’t seem to be coming any time soon, if at all. In a response to that particular question, Shuhei Yoshida, Sony’s Worldwide Studios President answered with a simple “No”.
