5. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag
I was skeptical at first with, once again, another Assassin’s Creed. I will admit, I was not a fan of the previous games and almost missed picking this game up. However, I’m so glad I didn’t miss it!
The game took a new direction entirely – putting the player in the role of a ruthless pirate on the seas. Figures that are well known in history, such as Blackbeard, make an appearance in the game.
The ship and player customization in this game is definitely refreshing as the game can be played in different ways. The repetitive navigation of cities are in the past as you sail the open seas at your leisure. Exploration is key and many, many hours of treasure hunting is fun! After all, it’s a pirate’s life for me!
