8. “Steve Jackson’s Sorcery!”

The young nerd kid inside me wants to think this was from the Steve Jackson who gave me so much joy back in the day with “Car Wars” and “Ogre.” In reality, this was brought forth from the mind of the other Steve Jackson, who helped found Games Workshop and work with Peter Molyneux, and thus is plenty awesome in his own right.

In any case, “Sorcery!” lived up to the exclamation point in its name by being an awesome example of an interactive storybook, which is a form and genre that feels right at home on tablets. It had great art, a compelling story and an interesting magic system, and it’s hard to ask for more from any kind of fantasy game than that.
