EVE: The Second Decade Collector’s Edition: Product Review

“Into the Second Decade” Hardcover Book

For me, this was the highlight of the entire package. This 192-page book offers a detailed look into the history of “EVE Online” beginning with the time before the first code was written and running all the way up to just before the recent “Rubicon” expansion. It’s full of interesting tidbits, in-game events and facts, all supplemented by some fantastic pictures and images.

It’s also surprisingly honest. CCP isn’t afraid to reflect on some of the missteps they’ve made over the last 10 years, and it’s refreshing to read about some of the game’s warts alongside its many triumphs. Hardcore “EVE” players are going to enjoy finding out things even they may not know, and for newcomers, it looks like a tremendous resource in learning about the ongoing journey the game is on.
