VGX 2013: NBA 2k14 Wins Best Sports Game

The sports genre is one of the most highly competitive gaming markets year in and year out, and 2013 was no different. At VGX 2013 there were four high-quality games up for the title of Sports Game of the Year, but, as always, only one could win.

After the votes were tallied, NBA 2k14 came out with the championship title as the best sports game. NBA 2k14 beat out FIFA 14, MLB 13: The Show and NHL 14 for the coveted Vector Monkey at the first VGX.

It’s the third time that the NBA 2k series has won the award for best sports game at VGX, formerly known as the Video Game Awards.
