Some keen eyes over atGame Informerhave spotted an advertisement banner over at theVGX websitesuggesting the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2014.
According to earlier reports that noticed an advertisement for the game’s definitive editiongo up on Amazon Italy, this version of Tomb Raider will include all of the DLC, as well as an exclusive artbook.
Seeing how the PS4 and Xbox One have similar x86 architecture, the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition may be a port from the PC version of the game. Seeing how Tomb Raider has sold more than 4 million copies to date and is still deemed a commercial failurein the eyes of Square Enix, I wouldn’t be surprised if these 8th generation copies on the PS4 and Xbox One weren’t developed from the ground up.
The ad has since been removed from the website, solidifying even further the possibility of an official announcement at tonight’s VGX show. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition looks to be released on the PS4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2014.
