NBA Live 14 Executive Producer Issues Apology
NBA Live 14 hit the court with a flop on Tuesday. The feedback has been overwhelmingly negative to the series’ return to consoles in four years, mainly due to fans claims of a steep learning curve, stiff animations and less-than-stellar graphics among other issues.
Because of the criticism being fired at the game, and its creators, executive producer Sean O’Brien released a letter to the fans to let them know that the development team is aware of the complaints, and that his team is set on making things right.
"I’m not going to lie; it’s been a rough week. As you can imagine, this isn’t exactly the NBA LIVEcomeback story we were hoping for this year.We hear loud and clear that some of you are disappointed in various aspects of NBA LIVE 14, and I’m sorry if the game doesn’t live up to your expectations. Looking at your feedback, we have laid out a plan to make NBA LIVE 14 a better game as quickly as we can."
The current plans for NBA Live 14 include posting tutorials online on how to dribble, run plays, set formations, etc.. O’Brien also says that throughout the season fans will see improved visuals and animations to the game through updates.
“You will notice in the coming weeks and months that the game’s visuals and animation will improve significantly,” he said in his letter to the fans.
He ended his letter thanking those fans who have supported the game since development began, and promised that the franchise will only get better from here on out.
