5. Halo 3 Legendary Edition
At $130 this wasn’t really a free throw-in, but back in 2007 Halo 3 was available in the Legendary Edition, which in addition to including bonus game content and books and documentaries and featurettes, came with a Master Chief helmet statuette. You can argue that the $130 price tag wasn’t a deal, but smart consumers like me knew that by holding onto their helmets for a few years, they’d be able to sell them back to desperate collectors for a tidy profit. So now, after the passage of time, I’m able to unload my helmet statuette on eBay for $47.20… wait… that’s all?
